Extending the Hands and Heart of Jesus: Compassion Ministry

Empowering your church to bridge the gap between the Gospel and your community.

What is Compassion Ministry?

At its core, Compassion Ministry is the art of being the hands and feet of Jesus. When the Scriptures describe God, the very first attribute often cited is that He is “compassionate and gracious” (Exodus 34:6).

Compassion is not just a concept; it is an action. It is the vital intersection where the Church meets the brokenness of the world. It is the intentional practice of meeting people exactly where they are, showing them the tangible love of Christ, and walking with them toward where God wants them to be.

Why it matters: When we move beyond the walls of the church building and into the lives of our neighbors, we aren't just performing service—we are declaring and demonstrating the hope of the Gospel. It is in this connection that real, lasting transformation begins.

Two Paths to Local Impact

1. ServePASJ: Our Regional Focus

Serving 17+ million people in the Northeast with the love of Christ.

Our regional mission is to bridge the gap for the 14 million residents in our area who do not yet have a personal relationship with Jesus. We engage this mission through four pillars:

  • Communities: We listen and learn the unique dynamics of your specific area—whether urban, suburban, or rural.
  • Compassion: We move from “doing church” to being the church through selfless acts of service.
  • Crisis: We offer the hope of the Gospel to those whose lives have been disrupted or derailed.
  • Connection: We build intentional bridges between the hurting and the local church for lasting impact.

2. LovePASJ: Equipping your church

A missional framework designed to help your congregation plant roots in your specific neighborhood.

We provide the tools to help you move from the pew to the street through three strategic phases:

  • KNOW:  We provide training in prayer-walking and community exegesis so you can build genuine relational bridges with your neighbors.
  • SHOW:  Once needs are identified, we help you mobilize your congregation to meet those needs through tangible acts of service and evangelistic outreach.
  • GROW:  We resource your leadership to prioritize intentional discipleship, helping you make disciples who make disciples.
