Joe Velarde, Send Network PA/SJ recruitment leader, is the lead pastor of Riverbend Community Church, which he started in 2009. He has been married to his wife Amy for 15 years, and they have a 3-year-old son, Ray. He along with the Riverbend team has helped start and walked alongside six new churches in Pennsylvania/New York City, New Jersey, and Denmark through the Riverbend Church multiplying church center that was was established in 2011. He launched the Vision for the Valley Podcast in 2019, which is to help leaders in the Lehigh Valley and beyond.

What are the benefits you hope our churches will receive as a result of your work/role at the BRN?

My goal is to help recruit and enlist planters and partners for the work we are doing throughout PA/SJ, and to find ways to create a culture of care and multiplication that will transform communities.
