Gerald A. Waters Sr. is the church planter of Proclamation Community Church in Philadelphia, Pa., where he was born and raised.
He holds a B.S. in Bible and an M.A. in Religion from Cairn University, where he was also recognized in Who’s Who of Colleges and Universities.
Before planting Proclamation Community Church, he served as associate minister at Ezekiel Baptist Church under Dr. Brian D. King Sr.
Prior to his Church Advancement Consultant role with the BRN, Pastor Waters also served as the project manager for the Philadelphia SEND Relief Seve Tour and a Leadership Assessor for church planters in the SEND Network.
He is also a mental health professional in the School District of Philadelphia. Pastor Waters is married to Symara Waters, and together they have three children: Gerald Jr., Jordan, and Symone.
In this role his desire is to remind pastors and other leaders that the long and often challenging road of ministry does not need to be traveled alone. He seeks to be a trusted resource, a prayerful intercessor, and a godly friend.
He finds peace in listening to various genres of music, traveling, and building solid meaningful relationships with people. He strives to be used by the Lord to help effect meaningful transformation in the life of people.
