On June 27-28, Baptist Resource Network churches are invited to serve residents in Wilkes-Barre (“The Diamond City”) and Scranton (“The Electric City”) in Northeast Pennsylvania in partnership with Cross Creek Community Church, Iglesia Electric City Church, Nebo Baptist Church, Plaid Community Church, and Restored Church, among others.
Projects include opportunities, such as evangelism, light construction, work with the underserved, mobile grill outreach, school and community beautification, and more!
NEW THIS YEAR!
This year, to help offset costs of the projects, we are requesting a $15 donation (or a donation of any amount) for all participants, except college students and youth/children.
Your $15 contribution helps to pay for your t-shirt, meals, and pertinent materials for the projects you serve on.
Your contribution is so appreciated because every dollar we receive helps pay for our projects and everything related to sharing the Gospel with these communities in the Northeast Pennsylvania. We could not make the impact alone so thanks for your generosity and partnership.

SERVEPASJ VISION
Thank you for leading a team to participate in this year’s SERVE WILKES-BARRE/SCRANTON. It is through this partnership of churches known as the BRN that you will be demonstrating the love of Christ in a city by engaging in compassion ministry.
When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was, His reply was to love God with all our being and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37–39). So, the mission is clear: God wants to use His church as a mobilized missionary force. We are to demonstrate His love for others and share the Good News.
God often uses the simplest gestures of love and care to expand His Kingdom. When we join God on mission, nothing we do is insignificant. Whether meeting a large or small need, God can use these compassionate acts to open doors to the gospel and transform communities.
Our Vision is 3-Fold for this weekend:
1. IMPACT
We want to partner with our churches in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton region and help them make Gospel Impact and transform their communities.
2. IGNITE
We want to ignite a passion to serve others and share the gospel in all the churches, participants, and partners across our region that begins a movement.
3. UNITE
What happens when we come together as a network and partner and demonstrate that we are all a part of something bigger than ourselves.
To help you prepare and engage your team, we have provided an optional pre-trip team training guide and 30-Day Prayer Guide. During the weekend, your team will participate in daily team briefings and a Saturday Night Rally experience. We also will provide you with the resources necessary for you to feel confident in taking the next steps to serve your community!
“For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you took care of Me; I was in prison and you visited Me” (Matthew 25:35–36).
Thanks again for joining us for this monumental weekend.
