Whitworth shares IMB’s sober statistic: 157,690 people are dying daily without Christ

The Christmas season marks the annual Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® and Week of Prayer for International Missions for the Southern Baptist Convention’s International Mission Board. This annual offering is collected by believers all around the world to support 3,650 international missionaries and their work. One hundred percent of these gifts go straight to the mission field!

Consider these IMB successes. Last year:

There were 93 new people groups and places engaged by IMB, and nearly 600,000 people heard the Gospel, resulting in over 175,000 new believers!

Just last year, over 105,000 people were baptized and nearly 23,000 new churches were started! These are great statistics but the global need for missions is more urgent than ever.

IMB reports that around 158,000 people are DYING DAILY WITHOUT CHRIST. (That’s one person every 1.8 seconds!) Locally, we know in Pennsylvania/South Jersey, one person dies without Christ every 4.2 minutes.

IMB has a long history of reaching the nations with the Gospel and is vital to reaching the vision of a multitude from every language, people, tribe and nation knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ. Will you join your heart with others to pray for missionaries around the world who are faithfully sharing the Gospel?
