Proclamation Community Church in Philadelphia, Pa., hosts Send Philly Planter Wives
Proclamation Community Church in Philadelphia, Pa., recently hosted church planter wives a part of the Send Philly network for a time of fellowship, encouragement, and a special word from planter spouse April Betner, who serves alongside her husband Pastor Chris Betner at Delval East “The Lifehouse Church” in Willingboro, New Jersey.
Memorial Baptist Church in Gettysburg, Pa., connects with students at Cannerval
On May 19, Memorial Baptist Church in Gettysburg, Pa., connected with students at Cannerval, an annual community carnival for students at Biglerville High School. The event gave the church an opportunity to build relationships and share the love of Christ with students and faculty.
Members of Harborcreek Community Church brave the rain to benefit local women’s care center
On Saturday, May 20, members of Harborcreek Community Church (HCC) braved the cool and rainy weather in Erie, Pa., to participate in the Women’s Care Center of Erie County annual 5K run/walk.
BRN Disaster Relief team showcases resources at First Responders Fair in Allenwood, Pennsylvania
On May 18, BRN’s Disaster Relief displayed a shower unit, a recovery unit and the command and communications unit at the First Responder’s Fair in Allenwood, Pennsylvania, along with 47 other First Responders, including an Army Blackhawk Helicopter and a Geisinger Flight for Life Helicopter.
Several schools toured the equipment along with members of our community. Eight members of Winfield Baptist Church and one from Mason Dixon Baptist Church demonstrated the Disaster Relief units’ capabilities.

Throughout the month of May, the six seminaries associated with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and are supported by SBC churches across the nation – including those in Pennsylvania/South Jersey – celebrated students who have completed their academic journey. A number of these graduates are from Pennsylvania/South Jersey and/or serve in our region of ministry and are a part of our BRN family. Congratulations to all of our graduates! Welcome to the BRN family: Alejandro, Giovanni, and Marcos Alturas
On May 6 at 2 p.m., Pastor Jordan Alturas and his wife, Chantel, welcomed three beautiful baby boys into the world! They are identical triplets, named Alejandro Carlos, Giovanni Nelson, and Marcos Enrique. Since their arrival, the boys have been in the NICU, because they were born just shy of 33 weeks. However, Alejandro came home on Tuesday, with Giovanni and Marcos arriving home today (Thursday).

Coming off of a four-year interim position, Dr. Maurice Mimms offered his pastoral services as pulpit supply to Browns Mills Baptist Church in Browns Mills, New Jersey, per the recommendation of Dr. Christopher Betner, mission pastor at Delval East “The Lighthouse Church” in Willingboro, New Jersey.
After his third visit to Browns Mills, Mimms felt “a calling from God” to stay and shepherd the Browns Mills church body and community. As of May 2023, Rev. Mimms has been serving as the senior pastor of Browns Mills Baptist Church. Read More
