PITTSBURGH (BRN) – In November, River City Church in Pittsburgh utilized a Hunger Fund Grant from the Baptist Resource Network of Pennsylvania/South Jersey (BRN) to serve others by providing a free Thanksgiving meal to anyone in our community.
Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, rolls and desserts were served with the love of the Lord. Over 175 meals were provided to more than 100 people. Many of whom stayed and talked to church members who were there to listen and pray for those in need.
Hunger Fund Grants are available for churches striving to eradicate food insecurity in their communities or working to reach their neighbors by providing meals.
