On June 18, Reclamation Church Monroeville in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, aided in what was the very first outreach event for their soon-to-be church plant: Reclamation Church New Kensington.
With the help of a mission team from Englewood Baptist in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, we were able to provide a time for families to come to the park on Father’s Day, have free food and enjoy some games. We were also able to have many gospel conversations with the people in the area as well as lay the foundation for what will soon be a new church plant in the area.
Our mission team was trained in 3 Circles, a method of sharing the gospel. Every person who received food had someone sit with them and share the gospel as well as hear their stories. In total, 150 people attended the event.
We also had many gospel conversations with people who were hanging around the event but not really participating. We estimate that, throughout the course of the event, we had a total of 50 gospel conversations!
