PHILADELPHIA (BRN) – On May 10, St. John Memorial Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pa., began its day at 6 a.m. bringing two 18-foot trailers from New Jersey to their community Mind, Body and Soul Health Fair.
We provided six skids of soda, water and juices as well as three skids of household and personal items to our community. In addition, healthcare agencies provided tips on healthy choices, and lifestyle changes. They provided a much-needed resource for our bodies and mental health, while the church provided much needed prayer. We also provided Bibles, tracts and other biblical literature to cultivate a holistic healthy community.
As a result, approximately 300 souls were in attendance, and this week seven people were added to the church. The church follow up team is actively fostering ongoing conversations with the community, proclaiming the gospel of salvation and showing acts of love and kindness.
