Hi BRN Family, Elizabeth here, and it’s time for the May Top 5!
#1- VBS season is coming soon, and for sure, many of our churches are already getting ready. The BRN wants to help! We are building a VBS Swap Shop, an online resource where churches can share their VBS decorations and leftover materials. Churches interested in sharing and those in need of borrowing supplies should stay tuned to our weekly e-newsletter, BRN United, for details on how to sign up! More information coming soon!
#2- Our hearts are broken by the war in Ukraine, and the BRN wants to offer assistance to those affected. In anticipation of the resettlement of Ukrainians into our region, we are inviting BRN churches to gather supplies to fill backpacks of toys and other items of comfort for children, and plastic bins of household items, such as towels and toiletries, to welcome these families. Visit brnunited.org/ukraine to see the full list of requested items, plus slides to promote the drives in your church, and the collection site(s) nearest you. Thank you for giving!
#3- It is important that our pastors know how much they are valued in the Baptist Resource Network. Accordingly, each year, we host regional “Pastor Blessings” events for pastors, pastors and their wives, and even pastors and their families. Look for invitations, soon, to fun, relaxed networking events designed to… well, “bless” you!
#4- The BRN will host its next Executive Board Meeting on May 20. May we ask that you pray for our Board leaders and for that meeting? The BRN relies on this leadership team to advise and support BRN employees and give direction to organizational goals and efforts. Your prayers mean so much!
#5- It has been about six weeks since the BRN hosted its inaugural evangelism conference, Advance. Perhaps you couldn’t join us? Replays of the keynote presentations are available. Please contact our Help Desk for access to these dynamic presentations by Wheaton College’s Ed Stetzer and Send Institute’s Daniel Yang. Thank you.
That’s all for May. Thanks for watching, BRN Family. We appreciate you and we are thankful for you!
