QUARRYVILLE, Pa., (BRN) – Eggsplosion was back and better than ever!

This event is more than just an egg hunt; it’s a joyful celebration of community, faith and generosity. Hosted by Wrightsdale Baptist Church, Eggsplosion took place at Clermont Elementary School in Quarryville, Pennsylvania, on March 30, 2024.

The heart of Eggsplosion is to share the gospel with those in our community who might not typically attend church. Through colorful jelly beans and meaningful conversations, we aimed to spread the message of hope and love. Below are some of the highlights from the event.

Highlights

  • Gospel Conversations: Approximately 205 gospel conversations took place during the event. Volunteers engaged with attendees, sharing the good news and building connections. The gospel was also shared with Jelly Beans. Kids were able to make a craft with jelly beans that allowed them to take home the gospel message as well as hear it at the event.
  • Egg Hunts: Children and families enjoyed exciting egg hunts throughout the day. The thrill of discovering hidden treasures brought smiles to young faces.
  • Prizes: We gave away prizes, including two bikes, adding an extra layer of excitement. These gifts symbolized the joy of Easter and the love of Christ.
  • Activities for All Ages: From face painting to crafts, inflatables, and delicious food, Eggsplosion offered something for everyone. Families bonded over shared experiences and laughter.
  • Community Support: Thanks to the generous support of the Baptist Resource Network (BRN) and various donations organized by deacon Mike Jakubac, we were able to provide all these activities and treats to our community free of charge.

A whopping 364 individuals joined us at Clermont Elementary School, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.

Eggsplosion 2024 was a resounding success, bringing together neighbors, friends, and families. As we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord, we also celebrated kindness and the transformative power of the gospel. We look forward to continuing this tradition and spreading the love of Jesus in our community.
