Hey BRN Family, Elizabeth here and it’s time for the January Top 5!
#1: Happy New Year! We are looking forward to a wonderful new year as we work together to minister in Pennsylvania and South Jersey. Please know, we are praying for you, and are ready and willing to help you take your next step toward fruitful and joyful ministry. Maybe this is the year that you take your church to the next level? As you pray, what is God burning in your heart to do? What is His unique vision and focus for your church? We want to help you reach the vision, mission, and goals that God has placed on your heart and provide you training and tools to get to the next level! Contact the Help Desk at 717-652-5856 to start this vital conversation today!
#2: To help your church move to the next level, the BRN is offering two exciting conferences early this year, the Advance Evangelism Conference for all church members on March 17 at Country and Town Baptist Church in Mechanicsburg, Pa., and the Amplify conference for students in 7th-12th grade on February 21-13 at Camp Hebron in Halifax, Pa. The Advance Conference will feature keynote speakers, James Roberson, pastor of The Bridge Church in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Dr. Lee Clamp, associate executive director-treasurer of the South Carolina Baptist Convention, and Seven of Messiah University, who will lead worship. Learn more at advancepasj.com. Tony Banks, pastor of Agape Bible Fellowship Church in Richton Park, Illinois, and a former collegiate minister who is passionate about young people and the Gospel, will serve as keynote speaker of the Amplify Conference. Think of 3, a Christian band with music similar to David Crowder, will lead worship. Learn more at amplifypasj.com.
#3: Speaking of a new year, the BRN is excited to announce a new partnership with Converge Coaching and Mycounselor.online to invest in the inner lives of pastors, both spiritually and emotionally, so they can thrive in their unique ministry contexts as they go after our collective mission to seek and save the lost through Jesus. With this new partnership, the BRN will offer a scaled subsidy toward coaching or counseling geared toward the senior or lead pastor, his wife or child. Be on the lookout for more information coming soon!
#4: Also as we embark on another year of ministry, it’s time to consider how God has already moved this past year. Could you let us know? We are asking all BRN churches to fill out their Annual Church Profile (ACP) data through a new electronic form on brnunited.org/acp no later than February 15, 2025. At this site, actually, you can fill out your ACP data any time of the year! Any questions can be directed to our Help Desk, helpdesk@brnunited.org, or text or call (717) 652-5856. Thank you!
#5: The BRN is thankful for all the churches who have chosen to pray, give, and go to help individuals and families affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. We recently discovered that the best way financially to help individuals and families affected by Hurricane Helene is to collect funds to purchase Home Depot, Lowes, and Walmart gift cards. That way, families can purchase exactly what they need, and we don’t waste funds on unnecessary supplies. If you are interested in giving, please visit online at www.brnunited.org/helene. 100% of your designated gift will be used in Helene disaster relief efforts. Thank you! The BRN also would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your generous donations to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Your generosity fuels missions. Thank you!
That’s all for January. Thanks for watching, BRN Family. We appreciate you and we are thankful for you!
