HARRISBURG (BRN) – Thank you so much for supporting East Shore Baptist Church’s outreach to our community (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania). The event was a huge success!
We had to reschedule the event due to the rain, and were slightly concerned that we would have less people, however, that couldn’t be further from the truth. We ended up having over 1,200 people in attendance on April 8 at our Eggstravaganza!
That is more people in one day than we had from all of our events last year combined. We were able to share the gospel to countless hundreds, in large group formats and also in one-on-one conversations. From this event, we had at least six families in attendance at our Easter Service the next day! The Lord is good and is gracious in helping us establish our footprint in the community.
Through the funds of another BRN Evangelism Grant, we were able to mail invites to our Easter Service to all of our surrounding neighbors. We mailed invites to all of our neighbors within one mile of the church (approximately 1,300 homes).
On Easter Sunday (April 9), we had our largest Sunday attendance since I have been at the church, with 174 people total. We had approximately six families come, due to the mail outs or our Eggstravaganza event.
The main purpose of the mail outs was to get the community in our doors to hear the gospel and it is working. People know we exist and know that we are all about the gospel. Thank you again for your partnership in reaching the greater Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, area!
