HARRISBURG (BRN) – I want to say thank you to the Baptist Resource Network for the evangelism grant that we received to help us host a community baby shower at East Shore Baptist Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Due to receiving these funds, we were able to bring in five unique families that were expecting a newborn and shower them with tons of gifts, food and gospel community. We intentionally went with a smaller selection of families so that we could provide larger amounts of gifts; each family went home with approximately $400 worth of items!
We encouraged each family to bring their own guests and assigned them all to a table of their own. Two members from our church sat at each table to make them feel comfortable, help them along through the event and to build relationships. Our goal was accomplished!
We made connections with families who are in our community and looking for a church as well as learned that some of the families were neighbors to our members. All of them had the gospel presented to them. Our God is good and blessed us richly by letting us serve these families. Thank you once again for your help, your partnership is valued!
