Hey BRN Family, Elizabeth here and it’s time for the December Top 5!

#1: It’s beginning to feel like Christmas! ‘Tis the season for giving! In fact, December 3 is Giving Tuesday, but you can celebrate giving any time! On this year’s Giving Tuesday, the Baptist Resource Network will focus on five areas of ministry impact essential to the BRN’s work with churches: Pastoral Care and Wellness, Church Advancement, Compassion Ministry, Next Generation Mobilization, and Church Starting and Missions Sending. These funds allow individuals who seek to make a difference to give according to their passions. Learn more at brnunited.org/impact-funds

#2: Speaking of giving, churches who are interested in promoting the Cooperative Program have some new tools to use! At this year’s Accelerate Conference, we unveiled an animated explainer video and an accompanying printed booklet to help church members understand what happens when they give through their church to the Cooperative Program. View on brnunited.org/cp or contact the Help Desk via the information below to learn more.

#3: The BRN is thankful for all the churches who have chosen to pray, give, and go to help individuals and families affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. We recently discovered that the best way financially to help individuals and families affected by Hurricane Helene is to collect funds to purchase Home Depot, Lowes, and Walmart gift cards. That way, families can purchase exactly what they need, and we don’t waste funds on unnecessary supplies. If you are interested in giving, please visit online at www.brnunited.org/helene. Thank you!

#4: As you move into the Christmas season, we hope you will consider praying for our IMB missionaries during this year’s Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and Week of Prayer for International Missions. Please pray for the over 3,500 IMB missionaries serving throughout the world. Their work is only possible through your generosity. Learn more here

#5: And finally, as Christmas approaches, we are already asking God to give you the desires of your hearts as you celebrate Christmas and new year. May you, your families and your churches be surprised by extra measures of God’s goodness this special season. We wish you a Merry Christmas!

That’s all for December. Thanks for watching, BRN Family. We appreciate you and we are thankful for you!
