David York, an IMB missionary in Southeast Asia, recalls how God spoke to him through Ephesians 3 during the isolation of the pandemic. This passage gave him a renewed vision for establishing healthy, maturing churches on the islands where he and his wife, Regan, serve.
David leads strategies for IMB work on a cluster of islands, praying for new churches to form and for believers to experience the transforming power of the gospel. The islands, home to over 17,000 diverse people groups, present a challenge for missions due to difficult travel and varying religious influences.
Many of the people on these islands are unreached and unengaged with the gospel. The Yorks collaborate with national churches to train leaders in Bible study, evangelism, and missions. Their goal is to see gospel multiplication across the islands and bring more people to faith in Christ.
The Cooperative Program (CP) takes the Gospel to the nations and the neighborhoods. Your financial support through the Cooperative Program gives missionaries access to areas where they can not only provide needed help, but they can also provide needed hope in Christ.
Lord, send more workers to the islands and strengthen local churches to become multiplying, gospel-centered communities of faith.
