Cesár Guzmán started a church at Universidad de Puerto Rico that was markedly different from the darkness and sin that often surround secular college life.
A year after planting Iglesia Batista Sobre la Roca, the church opened the Student House near where the church met. The Student House acts as a “home away from home” for college students to hang out, study, and find community when they get lonely being far from home.
The Student House is also a place where students can ask tough questions about God and the Christian faith. Students are coming to faith in Christ, and many are sensing a call to ministry through the work of Iglesia Batista Sobre la Roca.
The Cooperative Program helps Cesár provide a place where college students can ask tough spiritual questions and discover the hope of the gospel.
Pray that God will draw students at Universidad de Puerto Rico to himself through Cesár’s ministry.
