Airenakhue and Obaidiku Aimievbo planted The Impact Baptist Church to reach the growing population of immigrants in northeast Calgary. Around 70 percent of the community around the church are not Christians, with many practicing as Hindus, Muslims, and Sikhs.
The Aimievbos encourage their church to reach out to the community through personal evangelism, visiting houses to pass out free batteries for smoke detectors, as well as visiting public places such as bus stations, train stations, and parks, to share the Gospel and invite people to church.
Recently the church organized a kids’ soccer camp with the help of summer mission teams. The outreach helped the church meet new families and invite them to hear about Jesus at the church.
The Cooperative Program (CP) takes the Gospel to the nations and the neighborhoods. Your financial support through the Cooperative Program allows missionaries to empower their churches to reach their communities with the Gospel.
Pray for God’s provision, as well as opportunities for the Aimievbos and The Impact Church to share the good news about Jesus with the immigrants in Calgary.
