A highly diverse city, a person will hear dozens of languages and smell an array of foods that originate from all over the world. And while Fordham Road is the third largest shopping district in the city, many of the neighborhoods encounter severe financial needs, and the diversity creates a people who are open to spirituality but not open to submitting to Jesus.
Ramny and Dayami Perez have started a church in this neighborhood. Only about 3 percent of the community identify as evangelical. Many residents dabble in other forms of spirituality, and Ramny often has to help them navigate these issues as he shares the Gospel and disciples believers.
