LANSDOWNE, Pa., (BRN) – Vacation Bible School (VBS) is one of our most anticipated outreach initiatives at CareView Community Church. Our VBS took place June 17 – June 21, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Our theme for this year was M.O.V.E. (Mastery. Overcoming. Victory. Excellence) with a  scriptural focus on Acts 17:20: “In Him, we live and MOVE and have our being.”

Our curriculum was written by our Senior Pastor Paul J. James, along with two of our associate ministers: Christine James and Michael Williams. Each lesson highlighted various characters in the Bible that exemplified our theme. Characters such as Timothy, Daniel, Esther and David were taught and discussed.

The message of the gospel was traced throughout each lesson. There were eight classes broken into the following age groups:

• Primary (ages 1-4)
• Kindergarten (ages 5-6)
• Middler (ages 7-8)
• Junior (ages 9-12)
• Junior High (ages 13-14)
• Senior High (ages 15-18)
• Adult (19 and older)

Our agenda for Monday through Thursday included dinner, worship, a physical activity, Bible lesson and closing prayer/call to discipleship. On Friday, we had various physical activity stations that each class completed. Some of the physical activities included praise dancing, a jump rope contest, an agility exercise and a frisbee relay race.

This was an amazing outreach experience. As a faith community, we had the opportunity to meet and reach so many people we have never met before. Thank you for your support in helping us make an impact on our surrounding community for Christ.
