PHILADELPHIA (BRN) – The Easter weekend at Calvary Christian Church in Philadelphia started with a collaboration of the seven last words service  with Great Commission Church on Friday (March 29). Then on Saturday we hosted a community wide Easter egg hunt, followed by a joyous Sunday Easter Service.

At the Easter egg hunt, several members who were trained in evangelism shared the gospel through tracts, gospel conversations and the testimonial approach. Evangelism was done before and after each segment of egg hunting. Additionally, all of the parents that registered their children were provided a track which included Romans Road as well as a raffle for a prize.

Throughout the Easter weekend, we saw 125 community members and had at least 50 gospel conversations. Follow up information was gathered to ensure that everyone in attendance would be notified of all upcoming church events, including service. Sunday was the last day of the event, where six people, which included three youth, gave their life to Christ!
