On Sept. 19, 2021, Calvary Christian Church, located in Philadelphia, hosted a “Back to Church Sunday” event.
This event took place on the front lawn of Calvary after service. Notification of the event was distributed by post cards and door hangers as well as advertised on social media. There were approximately 85 people in attendance.
On the day of the event, visitors and guests were welcomed into the church and provided with a bit.ly link to register and add their contact information for follow up.
Immediately after the service, all members and visitors exited the church on to the lawn where they were greeted with music, a photo background, balloon arch, food, games, raffled prizes, prayer and the gospel.
After receiving their ‘grab and go’ meal, each person was presented with a gospel conversation from a member of the Matthew 28:19 project.
Follow up was provided to all persons that filled out the bit.ly link and these persons are invited to all Calvary events including access to the Food Pantry.
There were two people who accepted Christ as their personal Savior and an additional two individuals joined Calvary from outreach.
