#1- Happy Summer! We know you and your church are busy with summer outreaches, and we are so grateful! We are praying for you as you seek to BOLDLY accelerate Kingdom movement. Accelerating Kingdom movement is all about a network of Kingdom citizens cooperating in a sustained effort of making disciples and establishing churches at an exponential rate to disrupt the kingdom of darkness within a geographic area. In other words, we seek gospel saturation and life transformation all across our region. Thank you for your Kingdom investment in Pennsylvania and South Jersey!
#2- Speaking of investment, this year’s #LovePASJ Week of Prayer and Offering for Missions in Pennsylvania/South Jersey is right around the corner. Though you can celebrate this emphasis any time of year, the official 2024 focus will be on August 11-18. This vital offering supports collegiate ministry, compassion ministries, such as disaster relief and our #ServePASJ projects, and care for pastors in crisis. #3- We have exciting news! Several churches and individuals have already signed up for #ServePASJ projects for our Serve Erie emphasis in Erie, Pennsylvania, on September 20-21. It’s not too late to join them! Projects include working with three Erie BRN churches and the Erie City Mission to prepare for and care for people in Pennsylvania’s poorest zip code. Projects include general maintenance, landscaping, a block party, and so much more! #4- Planning ahead: Registration is open for the Accelerate Conference to be held at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel in Grantville, Pa., on October 8. This year’s conference will feature the theme, “Bold: Next Level” with Drs. Barry Whitworth and Larry Anderson as the keynote speakers, plus other guests. There will be twelve breakout session options that will challenge BRN churches and pastors to be bold in every aspect of ministry. Also, we will unveil a “Next Level Blueprint” designed to encourage and assist churches to move to their next level. Sign up today at acceleratepasj.com.
#5- The BRN wishes to thank Pam and Randy Creamer and their mission teams from the S.C. Baptist Convention for their hard work on renovating the Warren Mission House in Pittsburgh. To date, they have added additional bathrooms, redesigned the first floor to be more open concept, updated the paint and flooring, and modernized the house to the current time. Our hope is that the house will be an even better location for teams to utilize in order to do mission work in the Pittsburgh area. Please help express our appreciation to the Creamers and the SC Baptist Convention. We are so grateful for their sacrifice and willingness!
