Hey BRN Family, Elizabeth here, and it’s time for the April Top 5!
#1: Is your church ready for Easter? What evangelistic opportunities should you consider? How will you engage with guests? The North American Mission Board has provided a downloadable “Easter Checklist for Pastors” to help you with preparation checklists for you and your church staff, evangelism ideas for Easter, and other helpful evangelism resources. Download your free checklist now at www.namb.net/resource/pastors-easter. Also, this Easter, the Baptist Resource Network has evangelism grants available to help your church with your Easter outreach. Have great ideas but need more resources? Just let us know how we can help. Contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@brnunited.org or visit online at brnunited.org/grant to learn more.
#2: Join us for “VBS Vision: Discovering the Magnified Journey,” a dynamic, free, one-day training event on April 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the BRN Hub in Harrisburg, for leaders and volunteers eager to elevate their Vacation Bible School experience! In this engaging session, we will explore the essential steps for casting a vision for VBS and how to effectively begin planning this year’s program. Participants also will receive an in-depth overview of Lifeway’s Magnified VBS, uncovering its key themes and offerings. Whether you’re a seasoned leader or new to VBS, this training, led by BRN’s new VBS consultant, Christy Kraus, will equip you with the tools and inspiration needed to make this year’s VBS a memorable and transformative experience for all involved. Don’t miss this opportunity to magnify your impact! Learn more at brnunited.org/vbs.
#3: The Baptist Resource Network also recognizes the importance of disciple-making. Is your current discipleship plan working? Are your small groups producing results? Are disciples being reproduced? Are leaders trained and equipped to multiply more disciples? The Disciple Making Church Seminar wants to help you. The BRN will host two of these seminars, as led by Impact Discipleship Ministries, which will examine the four keys to structuring the church to make and multiply disciples of Jesus Christ. You can choose your location: On April 30 at the BRN Hub or May 1 at Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Pittsburgh. Learn more at brnunited.org/discipleship.
#4: On June 27-28, Baptist Resource Network churches are invited to serve residents in Wilkes-Barre (“The Diamond City”) and Scranton (“The Electric City”) in Northeast Pennsylvania in partnership with Cross Creek Community Church, Iglesia Electric City, Nebo Baptist Church, Plaid Community Church, and Restored Church, among others. Projects, which are now live, include opportunities, such as evangelism, light construction, work with the underserved, mobile grill outreach, school and community beautification, and more! Visit servepasj.com to learn more.
#5: Senior, executive, and associate pastors and their wives are invited to “The Battle Belongs to the Lord” Ministry Couples Retreat, set against the historic backdrop of Gettysburg, Pa., on August 18-20. Step away from the chaos of everyday life and ministry and find renewed strength, faith, and clarity for the battles you face together. This retreat, to be held at the Wyndham Gettysburg, is generously led and sponsored by our friends at the Georgia Baptist Mission Board, so the cost is only $199 per couple and is limited to the first 50 couples. Learn more at brnunited.org/battle.
That’s all for March. Thanks for watching, BRN Family. We appreciate you, and we are thankful for you!
