Hi BRN Family, Elizabeth here, and it’s time for the April Top 5!
#1. We wanted to give a shout out to our 200+ guests at our very first Advance Evangelism Conference. We were wonderfully encouraged by our speakers Daniel Yang and Ed Stetzer, who declared God’s hope in the midst of a difficult season in this world. #2. Each of our Advance Conference attendees received an evangelism kit to help train and spur evangelism in their respective churches. They either received the “Who’s Your One?” kit, which teaches participants how to do personal evangelism with an easy-to-implement suite of tools, including sermons, poster, prayer guide, bookmarks and many downloadable resources; or the “3 Circles” evangelism kit, which is designed to assist pastors in leading a multi-week evangelism emphasis for their church. The kit includes guides, Living on Mission gospel tracts, and a flash drive loaded with an overview for the pastor, sermon resources, videos and more. Maybe you’d like to have a kit, too? #3. Did you know that Sunday, April 10, is Personal Evangelism Commitment Sunday in the Southern Baptist Convention? It is our prayer that members of BRN churches will prioritize the compassionate sharing of the Good News of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit to their families, neighbors, coworkers and beyond… just in time for Easter!
#4. Speaking of EASTER, Happy Resurrection Day! May you experience the power of Christ’s resurrection during this special season as we remember all that Jesus accomplished on our behalf. We eagerly yearn to experience revival in our region, and we are praying for you as you minister during this highly attended day. May the Lord touch many lives and draw them into a relationship with Him!
#5. And that leads us to April 24, the day Southern Baptists are setting aside as Baptism Sunday this year! Churches are encouraged to call their people to respond to the gospel, celebrate professions of faith in response to evangelism, and encourage new believers to take their next step in their walk with Jesus. Churches are also encouraged to use the hashtag #FillTheTank on social media to share video/photographs from their services, so the Southern Baptist family can celebrate with them!
