Webinar: The Equality Act and the LGBTQ Movement-Some of the Biggest Threats to Religious Liberty

One of the biggest social and governmental threats to biblical churches, schools, colleges, ministries, and nonprofits is the sexual revolution and all of its implications. Currently the U.S. Congress is considering a bill called the Equality Act, and President Biden has called it an agenda priority in his first 100 days. While this bill can, on the surface, look appealing and helpful it will end up being harmful for the Christian community at large and could pressure many to either abandon their biblical moral and gospel convictions or face government sanction. There’s a very real threat to our favorite ministries and organizations that are doing incredible gospel and humanitarian work – work that we should all want to protect.
How should pastors, and church, ministry and cultural leaders think about it, talk about it, and address it? How do we love our neighbor while still standing against harmful legislation and policies?
The Church Ambassador Network and the Pennsylvania Family Institute will host a webinar with two of the foremost Christian thinkers of the evangelical world, Dr. Andrew T. Walker and Dr. Carl Trueman, on Tuesday, February 16, at 2 p.m. (ET) to discuss and consider the threat and what can be done about it.
Dr. Andrew T. Walker is professor of Christian ethics and apologetics and associate dean at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, author of numerous books including God and the Transgender Debate, and renowned writer and speaker.
Dr. Carl Trueman is one of the foremost Christian voices and accomplished church historian, professor of biblical and religious studies at Grove City College and former professor at Westminster Theological Seminary, and author of over a dozen books including The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self.
