David Ludwig

DAVID LUDWIG began serving the Baptist Resource Network in 2004 as a consultant in church health, where he served until September 2013, when he joined the team full-time. He now serves as the Director of Discipleship and Leadership Development.  Before serving with the BRN, David served the Kentucky Baptist Convention as a contracted consultant, speaking and leading breakouts in discipleship and small groups. David has served on the staff of small, medium, and large churches in Virginia, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania, and has served as an Intentional Interim Pastor (Transitional Pastor) and now trains other men to serve in this role.

He holds a Master of Arts degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, and a Bachelor of Science degree in religion from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia. David has been providing training and has been consulting churches for nearly twenty years. David is also a Certified Leadership Coach and has coached pastors, church planters, and other leaders across our network, helping them to discover solutions to the challenges they were facing. David is a member of the leadership team for the SBC National Revitalization Network and locally assists pastors and churches in taking their next steps toward revitalization by walking them through the steps of our Transformation Pathway.

David is passionate about disciple-making and leadership development and intentionally seeks opportunities to equip pastors and leaders to develop healthy, disciple-making churches.  He enjoys grilling on the back deck and spending time with his family. David and his wife, Sheryl, have four daughters and nine grandchildren (including twins!).
