When Marty and Chandler were on the field, they saw intentional discipleship lead to church planting and multiplication in a refugee camp in the Middle East. They felt led to try this strategy in Sub-Saharan Africa, since it has been identified as the future epicenter of Christianity.

Marty and Chandler are working with the Theological Education Team in Tanzania. The team currently has six Theological Education by Extension Centers training 70 church leaders. Prayerfully this strategy will expand nationally in the coming years to allow all Baptist pastors to have access to education so they can plant doctrinally solid churches and be mobilized to the unreached.

“What we realized is that local pastors and local believers can go places we can’t go,” Marty said. “The best way for us to multiply ourselves and extend our reach is to train other people to go and share as well.”

The Cooperative Program (CP) takes the Gospel to the nations and the neighborhoods. Your financial support through the Cooperative Program helps missionaries plant churches and share Jesus in their communities.

Pray that God would bring out immense multiplication in communities like the one where Marty and Chandler diligently serve.
