HARRISBURG (BRN) – Thanks to a BRN Evangelism Grant, East Shore Baptist Church was able to make available snacks and free Bibles and spiritual tracks to hundreds of voters who entered our building to vote on Election Day.
Highlights included multiple God-conversations, numerous invitations to church, dozens of voters taking Operation Christmas Child boxes to fill (we had not planned this, they were just moved by our display in the hallway), and untold comments about our church providing a welcoming and nourishing environment during a frantic Election Day.
We estimate that we saw 300 people during the day. We intentionally shared the gospel by giving away free Bibles and spiritual pamphlets. There were also multiple God-conversations about who is really in control of our nation and the world, how our church handles political differences between members, and trusting in Jesus.
