For Syrians, the world has been crumbling for years, and this February’s earthquakes added literal and figurative mounds of rubble to a nation torn apart by the strife of civil war.

Evie Tucker, who serves with the IMB, said her Syrian refugee friends face hopelessness. Some have been displaced from their homeland for ten years and struggle to build a life for themselves.

Tucker has made several trips to a heavily hit region to assess and meet needs. Her team works with national believers and local churches to support families and communities affected by the earthquakes. Their aid comes in various forms, including supplying food and tents and hosting volunteer teams who provide medical assessment and water filtration systems.

Tucker said she knows that God has her exactly where He wants her. She desires that her team would serve Him and share hope and truth with those who are hurting and in need of a Savior.

The Cooperative Program (CP) takes the Gospel to the nations and the neighborhoods. Your financial support through the Cooperative Program provides opportunities for missionaries to share about Jesus anywhere and everywhere.

Pray for Evie’s team as they serve to meet both physical and spiritual needs of hurting people.
