Hello BRN Family! It’s good to be with you!
On May 17, the Executive Board of the Baptist Resource Network will meet to discuss matters pertaining to the BRN and its purpose. Would you please pray for this Board meeting and for our Board Members?
To remind you, the Baptist Resource Network is a nonprofit organization governed by this executive board, which is comprised of 17 persons, who are both pastors and lay persons serving in BRN affiliated churches. The BRN has four regions in our servicing territory and there are four representatives on the board from each region and one additional representative from the largest region. The board meets corporately at least three times per year.
We are thankful for these men and women who participate in these discussions. Presently, the Executive Board is requesting that pastors of BRN churches recommend other pastors or laypersons from their own region of PA/SJ (West, Central, Greater Philadelphia, or South Jersey) to serve on the board.
An Executive Board member must adhere to the following requirements:
- Affirm the most recent Baptist Faith & Message as adopted in the Annual Session of the SBC
- Be a member in good standing of a BRN church that faithfully gives a minimum of 4% of their undesignated receipts to the Cooperative Program
- Sign the board’s Conflict of Interest Statement
- Sign the Executive Board Personal Conduct Statement
Please note that a recommendation to our Executive Board Nominating Committee does not mean automatic placement on the BRN Executive Board. Thank you for your participation in the nominating process.
