This is a book that I have used for years to disciple leaders. It is a classic, and a must read for anyone leading or aspiring to lead. It was endorsed by several well-known leaders including John C. Maxwell, who said, “No other book has influenced my life the way this one has,” and Erwin W. Lutzer, who said, “Ought to be read by all of us at least once a year.”
This is an excellent book to read by yourself or with someone you are discipling to become a leader. The book addresses biblical principles and asks practical questions, making it an excellent resource for both spiritual and leadership development. There are 22 chapters, each one is around 10 pages or less, and the updated edition (2017) includes questions for reflection at the end of every chapter. Because the chapters are short, a person could read a chapter a week and meet with someone to discuss it.
