The ladies at Plaid Community Church in the Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, area have a wonderful way to minister to cancer patients through their prayer shawl ministry.  Church member Una Meir leads the women, who gather once monthly to pray over the shawls they worked on throughout the month. The finished products are then passed on to organizations such as Christ Brings Hope Ministry (CBH), BRN’s Disaster Relief, etc. to be presented to individuals navigating cancer journeys. How encouraging to receive a handmade item in this midst of the storm, knowing that someone who has never met you has been personally (and corporately) praying over you with every stitch.
