Edgewood Church brings the holly and jolly to Beaver Falls through Hope for the Holidays event
On Saturday, Dec. 9, Edgewood Church in Beaver Falls, Pa., rang in the holiday season with their Hope for the Holidays event. During the event, Edgewood served 55 local families and provided 200 children with over 900 gifts. What a great way to bless your community this Christmas season!
Riverbend Community Church brings Christmas cheer to local classrooms
During this week, Riverbend Community Church in Allentown, Pa., visited a dozen schools in their community and spread some Christmas cheer to the teachers, staff, and faculty members by delivering cookie trays and over a thousand notes of encouragement, each paired with a free Chick-fil-A entrée card!
After their deliveries, Riverbend shared on their Facebook, “We love these schools, staffs, and students and can’t wait to see what God does this Christmas and in 2024. Let’s be praying for these schools and the schools near our homes as well.” Please join us in praying for the schools Riverbend is reaching in the Lehigh Valley area!
Fellowship CrossPoint reaches the nations through annual Hunger Stops With Us event
On Saturday, Dec. 9, Fellowship CrossPoint Church in Chesterfield, New Jersey, filled their building with volunteers and got to work packing food for their annual Hunger Stops With Us event! This one day of hard work provides food for 120 kids in Ecuador for a year. What an incredible way to spread the love of Christ to the nations!

Earlier this month, Pastor Ken Miller, senior pastor at Bucks County Community Church in Langhorne, Pa., and his wife, Karen, celebrated 25 years of ministry at Bucks County Community Church! Riverside Community Church senior pastor celebrates 10 years of faithful ministry
On Sunday, Dec. 10, Riverside Community Church in Horsham, Pa., celebrated their Senior Pastor Ezra Strickhouser and his family for 10 years of ministry at Riverside! Congratulations, Pastor Ezra! We are very grateful for all you and your family have done for the sake of the gospel in the Horsham area. We are praying for your next many years of ministry!
In Memoriam
Rev. Ralph Mentzer
Rev. Ralph Mentzer, 85 of York, went home to the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 10. Rev. Ralph was a retired pastor from Oswego Community Baptist Church, and, at the time of his passing, was attending Emmanuel Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, Pa.
Family and friends will be received at the Dugan Funeral Home in Bendersville, Pa., on Sunday, Dec. 17, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services for Rev. Ralph will be held the following day, Dec. 18, at 1 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church in Gettysburg, Pa. An additional hour-long viewing will precede the service from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral.
The BRN expresses its deepest condolences to Rev. Ralph Mentzer’s wife, Jannie-Lee (Chronister) Mentzer, his family, and church family. Please join us in praying for his loved ones during this season of loss.
