Baptist Resource Network Executive Director Barry Whitworth shares about the 2023 #LovePASJ Week of Prayer and Offering, which will support collegiate ministers pour into young adults; children’s leaders disciple the next generation; pastors disciple new leaders who one day will lead their own churches and ministries; and churches compassionately care for their communities. It also assists our disaster relief volunteers in showing the love of Christ to neighbors in crisis and provide support for pastors in distress.

Hello, BRN Family! It’s good to be with you today! By now you have heard these statistics: 14 million people in Pennsylvania/South Jersey do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. But even more alarming… EVERY 4.2 MINUTES, 1 Pennsylvanian or South Jerseyan DIES without knowing Christ!

That’s why we support our churches all across Pennsylvania and South Jersey through the #LovePASJ initiative, which addresses the lostness in our region. This effort is a three-phase plan for churches to love their neighbors.

We help churches KNOW them (through community exegesis and prayerwalking), SHOW them Christ’s love (through evangelism and compassion ministry), and GROW them (through intentional discipleship and leadership development).

We will launch the third phase of the initiative, GROW, at our next Accelerate Conference on October 3. But first, this year’s #LovePASJ Week of Prayer and Offering for Missions will focus on the GROW phase.

This annual prayer and offering emphasis, usually held the second week in September, allows us to have a continued focus on our neighbors, especially in the areas of collegiate ministry, compassion care, and disaster and crisis relief.

Would you please join us in praying for all of our BRN churches to be sensitive to those around them who do not yet know Jesus?

Jesus said, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” Let’s accelerate Kingdom movement by loving Pennsylvania/South Jersey.
