#1- The #LovePASJ Week of Prayer and Offering is just around the corner! While it is traditionally observed the second week of September, you and your church can host this emphasis any time! This offering (formerly known as the State Missions Offering) supports #LovePASJ initiatives, collegiate ministry, disaster and crisis relief, and other compassion ministries. #2- We are excited to share with you the latest plans for our Accelerate Conference, to be held October 3 at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel in Harrisburg. Three new opportunities have been added to the schedule: On Monday evening, we will host a Dessert Meet and Greet with Dr. Willie McLaurin, Interim President and CEO of the SBC Executive Committee; on Tuesday morning, we will host a “Dangers Facing the Church” Breakfast presented by the Pennsylvania Family Council; and on Tuesday evening, we will host a BRN Family Celebration Banquet, which will feature NAMB “musicianaries,” Eric and Anissa Haney, and a time to celebrate several BRN churches. #3- Send Relief and Baptist Resource Network’s Serve Tour Philly is quickly approaching! Registration opened on July 31 for churches to choose from 40 different projects to do on September 15-16. Those who preregistered now need to register and select their preferred project before another church chooses that option. These projects include helping with block parties, food distribution, landscape beautification, ministry to college students, and more. #4- And don’t forget: We have two other summer training opportunities for you. Women in Philadelphia and South Jersey are invited to participate in the third of three Summer Seminars, focused on the topic of “Setting Healthy Boundaries.” Women will gather at Macedonia Baptist Church in Philadelphia on August 19.
