WILLOW GROVE, Pa., (BRN) – This past weekend, June 9-11, the Outstanding Men of God (O.M.G.) of First Baptist Church of Crestmont in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, hosted their annual Men’s Weekend.
On Friday night, O.M.G. kicked off Men’s Weekend with a men’s revival evening. Psalm 133:1 says, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” We believe that when men come together in prayer, praise and worship that’s fertile ground for a mighty move of God. The atmosphere was amazing, and the Spirit of God was moving. We believe men left that evening better, stronger and wiser. Then on Saturday morning, O.M.G. hosted their men’s workshops, which included breakfast and lunch. In Matthew 4:4, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” So the men on Saturday morning were fed physically and spiritually, as Sis. Keristen Bazile talked about being good stewards of our finances, Dr. Larry Anderson talked about how men can evangelize to other men and Dr. Paul Lee talked about men being who they’re called to be within and for their family.
On Sunday, we took it up another level, as O.M.G. rounded out Men’s Weekend with their men’s day worship service. The men served and led all aspects of service and the entire congregation truly had an amazing time in the Lord as the Holy Spirit moved throughout the service.O.M.G. honored and awarded the “Man of the Year” as selected by the brothers of the church and we received a mighty sermon from Pastor Keith Pelzer, titled “Living From The Inside Out” (2 Corinthians 4:7-10). This service was a great way to close out an awesome Men’s Weekend.
“We are excited about what God is doing on this corner of Fairview and Rubicam Ave. in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. It does not yet appear what we shall become, [but] we’re looking forward to how God is going to move through this men’s ministry,” said Dr. Jerome Coleman, senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Crestmont.
