Hello, BRN Family! It’s great to be with you today!
There are 371 million people and 350 languages in North America, of which 281 million are without the hope of the gospel!
North America is a mission field of complex cultures and diverse religious practices. Missionaries here face challenges from secularism to language barriers to disunity. Yet, in spite of the obstacles, God’s mission calls us to be unified in reaching our loved ones, neighbors, coworkers, and communities for Christ. Your partnership makes it possible.
Your prayers and gifts to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering® provide support for thousands of North American Mission Board missionaries, who are planting new churches in unreached communities and meeting needs through compassion ministries. Every day, lives are being impacted and transformed with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I urge you to pray for our North American missionaries and challenge your church to give and support their work through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. This year’s national offering goal is $70 Million.
One hundred percent (let me say that again: 100%) of every dollar given to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering touches lives across the U.S. and Canada, and the territories of Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa. Fifty percent of the North American Mission Board’s budget directly comes from this vital offering. If every church in our network gave just $50-100, that would be an additional $10,000-20,000 to support the vital work being done on the field.
The theme for this year’s week of prayer, “United: Called to be One,” is based on Philippians 2:1-2, which says, “Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus: To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including the overseers and deacons. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
According to Paul, this letter to the Philippians is a sign of grace and a catalyst for peace. Paul’s letter was grace to them because it was proof that God had not left them alone to battle disunity. It was proof that God loves them, cares for them, sees what they are going through and speaks into the situation. Your prayers and support for North American missionaries has the same effect.
Paul’s letter was peace for them because it gave them a way forward: toward unity, and especially toward joy. We feel that joy whenever we think of our churches in our BRN family. We constantly thank God for your faithful service and love to your communities. We thank you for your prayerful support of missionaries all over the world, including here in North America and in our region. It’s not too late to give.
