PHILADELPHIA (BRN) – Great Commission Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, wants to thank the Baptist Resource Network (BRN) for providing an evangelism grant for our Hope 4 Philly outreach event, which took place at Pennypacker School on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022. While Great Commission Church was the lead church on this evangelistic endeavor, we also collaborated with Believer’s Bible Fellowship in Philadelphia and Riverside Community Church in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
In addition, we brought in 22 community partners, which enabled us to connect attendees with employers, healthcare, senior services and city, state and federal agencies. We hosted over 300 attendees and through a partnership with the SHARE Food Program, distributed over 500 bags of produce to the community. With the assistance of Shoprite, we cooked and gave out 1000 hot dogs, 1000 bottles of water and served various snacks to attendees. From an evangelistic standpoint we did the following: • Prayed with dozens of families • Distributed gospel literature • Shared testimonies about Christ • Hosted gospel artists who ministered from the stage • Made follow up calls to all attendees and invited them to attend church service with us We are extremely grateful for the grant we received from the BRN. The grant helped us to reach the community for Christ!
