While meeting for coffee, a Central Asian man named Daler* asked global worker, Brent Dorsett, if he’d answer some questions about the Bible. Six months prior, Dorsett had provided Daler with a Bible, but didn’t know how much he had read. Daler opened to Revelation.
“Revelation is a challenging book for Christians to digest, much less a non-Christian,” Dorsett said. “Sometimes people ask questions, and you can tell their intent is to find fault. However, he wanted to understand.” After hours of peppering Dorsett with questions, Daler exclaimed, “I read Genesis and the Gospel of John. Now I’ve read the Revelation of John, and I believe Jesus is God.”
Dorsett was amazed, emphasizing that people in Central Asia often claim to believe that Jesus was a good man but are hesitant to claim Jesus as the Son of God; and yet Daler was firm in his decision just months after first hearing the Gospel proclaimed.
The Cooperative Program takes the Gospel to the nations and the neighborhoods. Your financial support through the Cooperative Program allows missionaries all over the world to have one-on-one Gospel conversations with those who are lost.
Pray for Dorsett’s continued work in Central Asia and for Daler as he grows in his faith.
