PHILADELPHIA (BRN) – Thank you so much for your generous grant of $750. It strengthened our – Harambe Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, – evangelism outreach to our community. We were able to serve good food, give bookbags to the children as well as family packets with hygiene items and several other items for family use. We had a health table where blood pressures were taken and the children enjoyed a Game Zone. Most relevant were the opportunities to engage many in our community as we spread the sweet aroma of Jesus in word and deed. We prayed with several and passed out tracts. God blessed us with volunteers from Trinity Church, Kingdom Empowerment Ministries and many more to go into our community before and during the picnic.
We set up a large speaker in front of our building (the block permit was denied because of an increase in violence, shootings and drugs in our church community). Even so, the gospel went forth on Chew and Chelten Streets as we lifted up Jesus through testimonies, praise songs and dance in front of our building.
