CLARION, Pa., (BRN) – First Baptist Church of Clarion (FBC) in Clarion, Pennsylvania, participated in the National Night Out program sponsored by the Clarion Borough Police Department on Aug. 2, 2022, from 6-9 p.m.

The program was held on Main Street in Clarion from 8th Avenue to 4th Avenue. Citizens were free to move along Main Street to interact with the various activities, which included food and drinks, face painting, a magician, fire trucks, inflatable bouncy houses, ambulances, police vehicles and a dunking pool (local police officers were the people being dunked).

Through face painting and passing out food, FBC interacted with nearly 300 people at the National Night Out event.

First Baptist Church had two tables on Main Street for this program. One table was for handouts, goodies, brownies and water. The second table was a face painting station manned by a FBC membersBriana Underhill and her daughter, Abigail.

We interacted with up to 300 people throughout the evening. This included youth and adults. We talked with them about FBC and our services and programs. We could point out our church during our interactions as our tables were just about one block down the street from our building.

We had only a few of the handouts and goodies left at the end of the night. Some of the volunteers from FBC included Charlene and Ivan Cousins; Matthew, Kaytee and Bailey Beinhaur; Aubrie Sabol; Linda Witherow; Jarrett Furnish; Jason Hunter; Don and Elaine Custer; Mel Lahr; and the Underhill family.

This was truly a rewarding outreach/evangelism activity. We plan to be involved again next year.. Thank you for the funding to help make this activity a success!
