Hey BRN Family, Elizabeth here and it’s time for the October Top 5!

#1: We wanted to extend a special thank you to our guests who attended the October 4 Accelerate Conference! It was truly wonderful to gather again and to be encouraged by Shane Pruitt, Barry Whitworth, and our many breakout speakers and panelists. Learn more at

#2- During this year’s conference, we unveiled the second phase of the #LovePASJ initiative, which urges churches to SHOW Christ’s love to their neighbors through compassion ministry and evangelism. Churches were given this year’s #LovePASJ kit, full of free resources to help them be effective in showing and sharing the Gospel. Churches who did not receive a kit may request one at lovepasj.com.

#3- On Nov. 5, beginning at 10 a.m., the PA/SJ WMU will host its 2022 annual meeting at Redland Baptist Church in New Cumberland, Pa. The featured speaker is Linda Cooper, the current president of KY WMU and the immediate past president of national WMU. Learn more here.

#4- The very next weekend, the BRN will host a Woven Women Leadership Development Conference on November 12, starting at 9 a.m., for women in any leadership position in their church, including pastors’ wives. The conference, to be held at the Hub in Harrisburg, will feature Jenny Provin, Certified Leadership Coach and Consultant with the South Carolina Baptist Convention, and will address the topics, Crucial Conversations and Drainers & Gainers. The goal of the conference is to help women develop leadership skills and connect with other women who are leaders in their churches. Learn more at brnunited.org/wwldr.

Elizabeth, executive assistant to Barry Whitworth, formerly served as the administrative assistant at Stewartstown Baptist Church, where she also served as their Sunday school secretary, Cubbies director, and children’s bell choir director. She currently sings on the praise team and helps lead the children’s Christmas program.
