NORRISTOWN, Pa., (BRN) – Our event at Macedonia Baptist Church in Norristown, Pa., took place as planned with 83 non-Macedonia families attending. We had over 100 children in attendance with our overall count more than 350 people throughout the afternoon. A total of 51 volunteers from Macedonia assisted throughout the day, as well.
In addition to our own outreach ministries providing information and engaging individuals, the following other services were offered from our community partners: East Norriton Police Department, Amnion Pregnancy Care Center, Hopeworx, Family Services, The New Pennsylvania Project, Salvation Army Foster and Adoption Services and The Participatory Defense Initiative for Montgomery County.
We had the opportunity to engage and connect with the families in a fun and welcoming way. Family fun included midway games, a trackless train, bumper cars, a game truck, Bingo, food and music. We gave away bookbags, school supplies and new winter coats, as well. We will also be reaching out to connect with each family who attended by having our Follow-up Team call to personally thank them for attending, determine what they enjoyed and how we could have done better, and address any prayer needs they may have. This is another opportunity to minister and present the gospel once again.
We also prayed for 68 people and had the opportunity, through our greeters and prayer partners, to make contact with each family in attendance. We praise God for the 13 individuals who made the decision to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ. We will follow up with each of these individuals to provide guidance and a path of discipleship based on their decision.
