Fifty years ago, Congress took action to protect equal opportunities for women in education through the passage of Title IX. Title IX was designed to eliminate discrimination against women in education and athletics and create equal opportunities for them. In effect, Title IX paved the way for an explosion of female participation in athletics.But 50 years later, those equal athletic opportunities are under attack. Destroying girls’ athletic opportunities now can hurt their professional opportunities as adults. In addition, gender identity ideology is denying women and girls fair and safe treatment in other areas of life like women’s shelters, prisons, locker rooms, and other sex-specific spaces where biological differences matter.This is why ADF has filed or intervened in multiple lawsuits to protect women’s sports:

- Hecox v. Little
- P.J. v. West Virginia State Board of Education
- N. v. DeSantis
- The State of Tennessee v. The Department of Education

- Pray that God’s original design of human sexuality and biology would be respected and honored by everyone.

- Pray that the women who have faced unfair treatment and have been overlooked for their athletic achievements would receive justice and that their opportunities would be restored.
- Pray that Christians would stand firm on God’s word as their foundation and boldly speak the truth.
