Hello, BRN Family! It’s good to be with you today!
Your giving to PA/SJ ministries is critical. The Baptist Resource Network, one of the largest Southern Baptist organizations based on population, seeks to reach an estimated 14 million people in PA/SJ, who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
In fact, based on a conservative national average of 85% lostness and current vital statistics from the PA and NJ Departments of Health, we can assume EVERY 4 MINUTES, one Pennsylvanian or South Jerseyan DIES without Christ!
The Baptist Resource Network is doing everything it can to equip churches to confront this reality, with the ultimate goal of accelerating a Kingdom movement of Baptist Resource Network churches loving their neighbors in such a way that the statistic of 14 million lost people in PA/SJ is dramatically reduced — or even abolished!
We believe we can do this — if we do this together!
The Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative Program, the financial fuel for reaching every person for Jesus Christ, allows churches like yours to unite together to reach our region and the world! It really is simple.
Let me explain how it works. First, you give a tithe and offering to your church.
Then, YOUR CHURCH contributes a percentage or a financial gift to the Cooperative Program through the Baptist Resource Network, who shares the undesignated funds locally, nationally and internationally.
The BRN then retains 70% to fund ministries and missions in Pennsylvania/South Jersey. These ministries include: Church Servicing, Church Resourcing, Coaching/Training, Disaster & Crisis Relief, Multiplying Church Centers Next Generation Ministry, Partnerships, Pastor/Staff Benefits and more!
The SOUTHERN BAPTIST CONVENTION receives the remaining 30% of the Cooperative Program gifts to the Southern Baptist Convention to fund national and international missions, theological education, and religious liberty.
An additional 100% of gifts from individuals and churches given through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions goes directly to missionaries on the field.
It’s been said, “Many hands make the work light.” I’d like to say, “Many givers make God’s Work alight!” Please know that your giving makes a difference — here in PA/SJ and all over the world. To learn more, visit online at brnunited.org/cp. Thank you!
Thanks for listening in today. May God bless you!
