Peach Bottom, PA (BRN) — After an incredibly challenging year for teachers and students, Wrightsdale Baptist Church provided a tasty blessing to public school teachers in southern Lancaster County on June 11 and 12.
In a partnership with “The Daily Grind” coffee shop in Quarryville, Wrightsdale invited public school teachers to show their school I.D. and receive a free coffee, iced coffee, or specialty drink— up to a $3 value per person— courtesy of the church family.
Over the two-day outreach that coincided with the last day of school, Wrightsdale was able to bless approximately 50 public school teachers in the Solanco School District with their favorite coffee or specialty drink.
Wrightsdale’s director of family ministries, Brad Thorne, had developed a friendship with the owner of the local coffee shop. As a result, Brad was able to share with him the church’s desire to bless teachers after such a chaotic school year.
In addition to the drinks and a hearty “thank you”, each teacher also received a full-color, coaster-sized card inviting them to Wrightsdale Baptist Church.
This community outreach was a fun (and fully caffeinated) way our church family could connect with our community and share the love of Jesus!
